#### THE ROUND FOLLOWS 2 YEARS OF RAPID GROWTH FOR THE STARTUP, DRIVEN BY A RECOGNIZED PAIN POINT IN AIR COMBAT TRAINING AND LOOMING NATIONAL SECURITY CRISIS

**Santa Monica, CA,** March 1, 2021 – Red 6, a revolutionary technology firm at the forefront of synthetic air combat training, is proud to announce having raised a SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) of $7 million. The round was led by Red Cell, Snowpoint Ventures, and Octave. The efforts were further aided with participation from existing and new investors including long term investor Moonshots Capital, Irongate, TR Aeroventures, and Marlinspike.  The investment will serve as a bridge to a Series A planned for later this year, and support Red 6’s continued development of its Airborne Tactical Augmented Reality System (ATARS) and Combined Augmented Reality Battlespace Operational Network (CARBON).

Recently, the Department of Defense has pivoted its training readiness focus from supporting two decades of ground-based operations in Iraq and Afghanistan onto building the capabilities required to defeat a near-peer threat. Founder and CEO of Red 6 Daniel Robinson, himself a former RAF pilot and the first non-American to fly the F-22 Raptor, established the company on the belief that the United States is facing a national security crisis. “Control of the skies is not the pre-ordained right of the United States or its allies, and with China, we are now faced with a competitor that has aligned a long-term geo-political strategy with the systematic mobilization of a military industrial base. Our adversaries are innovating more quickly than we are, and we are not adequately prepared. We should be very concerned,” said Robinson. 

Josh Lobel, CEO of Red Cell Investors, not only led the funding round for the SAFE, but is joining the Red 6 board as a Director. “Our team at Red Cell includes former members of the Defense and Intelligence leadership, we have decades of experience behind us and understand the problem Red 6 is working to solve, and we believe in their solution to modernize the way combat pilots train today. We are here to support in anyway we can.” said Lobel.
